Calda

Cloudflare

Hosting, DNS, and edge infrastructure for your app — set up the account and invite us so we can deploy and manage it.

Why we need this

Cloudflare is where parts of your app's infrastructure live: Pages and Workers deployments, DNS for your domains, and the CDN and security layer that keep your app fast and online. Calda needs member access so we can deploy new versions, configure services, and manage your DNS and edge settings.

Like all other accounts, this one should be owned by you. Your domains, DNS records, and billing are tied to the account, so keeping it under your company means your infrastructure — and everything running on it — belongs to you, not us.

Do I need a credit card?

Not to start. Cloudflare has a generous free tier that covers DNS, Pages, and a baseline of Workers usage, so you can create the account and invite us without a payment method.

A paid plan may be needed later

Some services — higher Workers usage, certain paid Pages features, or premium DNS and security options — require a paid plan. We'll let you know in advance if your app needs anything beyond the free tier so you can add a payment method when the time comes.

Step-by-step setup

Create the Cloudflare account

Sign up at dash.cloudflare.com using your company email and verify your email address. This gives you the account dashboard where your domains, deployments, and members live.

Add your domain (optional)

If your app uses a custom domain, add it under Account Home → Add a domain and follow the prompts to point your domain's nameservers at Cloudflare. This lets us manage DNS and connect your domain to the deployment.

Where to find your nameserver settings

Nameservers are changed at your domain registrar (where you bought the domain). If you're not sure who that is, it's usually the company you pay your domain renewal to.

Invite Calda

Open Manage Account → Members → Invite, enter the Calda email we share with you, and assign a role. We recommend Administrator (or Super Administrator) so we can deploy and manage your infrastructure. You can adjust the role later from the member's menu.

What we'll do once we're in

After you've added us, we'll set up the Pages or Workers deployment, DNS records, and any other services your app needs — you don't need to configure anything else.

Confirm in Slack

Don't forget to notify us in Slack so we can accept the invitation and confirm that we can sign in.

Conclusion

That is it — with this access we can deploy and run your app on your own Cloudflare account. Once you've invited us and confirmed in Slack, we'll handle the rest of the infrastructure setup on our side.
